Soho Poly update

For the last few years, my colleague Guy Osborn and I have been spearheading a project to revive the Soho Poly Theatre, one of the most important post-war alternative theatre venues. The link here gives much more detail.

As part of this project, we have run several pop-up festivals and events in the space, often with the generous support of the Being Human Festival. We have also been developing an artistic policy based on the value of disrupting our everyday lives with the arts.

Recent events have included:

Climate Change: Action and the Arts
Martin Stephenson in Concert
Art Music and Memory: Zine Workshop
Pop and Politics: Alex Hancock in concert
The Soho Theatre at 50: One Autumn Evening
Found Theatre and Poetry: Disrupting the Everyday

As this project develops, there will be much more information available, so watch this space! You can also follow us on Twitter at @thesohopoly
